Shower curtains can cost upwards of $80 at some of the higher end home deco stores, so try some of these fun ideas for free or discount shower curtains with a designer look and I bet you will love the results.

Here are 3 ideas for free or discount shower curtains:

Free Shower Curtains #1: Use Those Old Clothes

So, if you have some old clothes you would like to recycle, why not turn them into a fun shower curtain perfect for a new look in your bathroom. I like to take old clothes, old bed linens, and other unused fabric I have around the house and cut them down into small squares.

They can be sewn together like quilt until the size of a shower curtain. You can also cut out your free fabrics into shapes and patterns and sew them onto your existing shower curtain ot create a whole new look.

Try cutting out a bunch of circles in different sizes. You can sew them onto the shower curtain in a random pattern.

Free Shower Curtains #2: Garbage Bag It

Ok, this one is perfect for a bachelor pad for the bachelor with a sense of hr. Take a box of garage bags, try to use black garbage bags. Cut the bags into strips or rectangles that ar about 5 inches wide and a foot long each. Now, attach corners together to make one large shower curtain.

You have a few options here. I like to use grommets in th corners, then you can use left over clear twist ties to attach them! This is a fun look and a great conversation starter! Everyone will take notice of this look and have some fun with it.

Free Shower Curtains #3: Towel It

I love those designer terry cloth shower curtains, but they can often cost so much I hate to even look at them. To get this look why not hit the local Goodwill and buy some cheap towels. Why you may never normal buy these to use yourself as towels, they ar perfect for sewing mad making yoru own terry cloth shower curtain.

You can cut them out into large rectangle sand sew together from the back side. Fold the top edge over and sew a rod pocket to slide onto your shower curtain! This is a great look and will really last a long time!
