Chris Knight
There are many things that contribute to being a YouTube star, such as being discovered by the right people, getting a fair amount of exposure, and having the image it takes to appeal to a wide variety of people. In order to be a YouTube star, you may want to make sure that you have a special talent, a DVD recorder, Windows Movie Maker, and knowing how to use keywords to earn more hits to your YouTube video post.

Do You Have a Special Talent?

First off- do you have a special talent? There are many wacky talents out there that may serve as perfect candidates for circus sideshows or sitcom time fillers; however, you must make sure that you have a special/genuine talent that will appeal to a huge amount of people for a great amount of time. This includes singing, rapping, playing the piano, playing the guitar, running extremely fast, etc. You can even start comedy and start seeing if there is a great amount of people who think you are funny.

If you have a talent then it is definitely time to use YouTube to market yourself and your abilities! There are a huge variety of ways to get your special talent the much needed exposure. Before you use YouTube , you must know "how" to use it. Once you have mastered this, you will be well on your way to attempting to make your dreams come true.

Have a DVD Recorder/Windows Movie Maker

It is important that you have a DVD recorder ready to film your talent. It can be a face shot, body shot, or just a video of you performing your talent, however, you must make sure that you have a DVD recorder and a stand so that you can film whatever you are doing and easily put it on the computer. After you have put it on the computer you will want to make sure that you find a place on the computer that is organized and easy to find.

After you have uploaded the file onto the computer, placed it in an easy to find location; you will want to open Windows Movie Maker or whatever movie making program that you have, and import the DVD media to the program. Here you will be able to format, add music, voiceovers, or anything else you may want to do to enhance the quality of the video. You will want to save your editing, and upload it to the YouTube web site.

Using Keywords to Get More Hits to the Video

YouTube makes it extremely easy to upload your videos and get them out on the web so that many people will be able to view your face. It is important that you use keywords to get more hits to the video - as keywords are the way anything becomes discoverable. Remember - 80% of the people searching for your video will probably stumble upon it on accident unless you have a subscriber database or you happen to blow up quickly.

You will want to do some keyword research to see which keywords get tons of views, and they attract the audience that you are looking for. For example, if you play the guitar or teach online lessons - then you probably want to put keywords such as "learn guitar online" or "guitar lesson on YouTube ". When you have mastered the art of keywords; you will be well on your way to becoming a star.
