3 Musketeers Truffle Crisp Bars Review

Amy Brantley
I'll admit it, I hate 3 Musketeers Bars. I've tried and tried to like them. I even tried the mint version and liked those even less. The appeal of the 3 Musketeers brand is the fact that they contain less fat than other leading brands. Still, I've never been able to like them. Why I decided to give the Truffle Crisp bar a chance is beyond me. However, every dog has its day and maybe it would be a delicious bar. The bars were on sale, so I decided to give them a try and boy am I happy I did.

The package doesn't seem to weigh anything when you pick up the 3 Musketeers Truffle Crisp Bars and with good reason. This candy bar only weighs 1.10 ounces. This is about a third of what other candy bars weigh. Once you open the package, you'll find two thin candy bars, similar in shape to Twix Bars. The domed shape of the bar also reminded me a lot of truffles, but would they taste like truffles?

I bit into the bar and was surprised by the texture. The chocolate was incredibly smooth and the filling was light, but what really surprised me was the texture of the crisp portion of the bars. It was very familiar. It actually reminded me of the texture of crisp meringues. Regardless, this bar was delicious. With each bite I found myself loving the bars more and more.

The 3 Musketeers Truffle Crisp Bars contains 170 calories, 9 grams of fat, 6 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans-fat, 5mg of cholesterol, 30mg of sodium, 20 grams of carbohydrates, 0 grams of fiber, 18 grams of sugar, 2 grams of protein and 4% of your daily calcium.

I give the 3 Musketeers Truffle Crisp Bars 5 out of 5 stars. I am so surprised that I not only liked this product, but loved it. If you're looking for a lighter candy option, I definitely suggest this product. Even if you've never been a fan of 3 Musketeers Bars, try these. Personally, I plan to grab a bunch of these the next time I head to the store, just in case this is a limited time only deal.
