3 Perfect Places to Bring a First Date in Diamond Bar, California

Based on my experiences, these are the top 3 places that I enjoy frequenting and going back to on dates. All of these are located in my hometown, Diamond Bar, California. The city is located about 40 miles from Los Angeles and is on the border of the Orange and San Bernardino Counties. It is also conveniently located on the corner of the 57 and 60 freeway interchange.

Oak Tree Lanes Bowling Alley

Want a place where you and your date can feel laid-back and at ease with each other? Oak Tree Lanes Bowling Alley is just the place. Have fun trying to out-bowl each other or goofing around. The tab usually runs around $4.25- $6 dollars per person and every once in awhile the facility offers special promotions. This place is located on 990 N. Diamond Bar Boulevard, east of the 57 Freeway. I have been here on several date occasions and it's a great place to have fun and get more comfortable with your date.

Summitridge Park/Diamond Bar Center

Trying to find a spot that offers you breathtaking, picturesque views? Summitridge Park is the place to go. This park has excellent views of the San Gabriel Mountains and the city of Los Angeles. There are a couple trails that offer alternating views of the mountain range and neighboring cities. The park also houses the newly constructed Diamond Bar Center that offers free events throughout the year. Parking is free and plentiful. The park is open from sunrise to sunset and has free admission. It is conveniently located on the corners of Grand Avenue and Summitridge Drive. I have hiked both trails before and nothing beats the view, especially on a day after a rainstorm where the air is crisp and clear.

101 Café/Diamond Hills Plaza

Looking for a light meal with no extra strings attached? Try the 101 Café which features authentic Taiwanese-style food for a very affordable price. The establishment is clean and quaint and offers a very "chill" environment. The menu pricing varies from $3 to $15 and has a wide variety of foods to choose from. Not enough? Head over across the way and sample some distinct frozen yogurt at Cherry on Top. They charge by the ounce, so you can combine all the flavors you desire. The establishments are located in the revamped Diamond Hills Plaza on the cross sections of Diamond Bar Boulevard and Sugarpine Place in south Diamond Bar.
