3 Places to Buy Unique Christmas Ornaments in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area

This is the largest antique store in the area, and around the holiday season, merchants have many booths entirely devoted to antique ornaments from Christmases past. Some of these unique ornaments include vintage Shiny Brites, celluloid ornaments from the Great Depression, antique plastic novelty ornaments, elves and Santas made of felt, hand-blown glass balls, and oh so much more! Since this store is so massive, be sure you make the rounds at least four or five times to cover all grounds. The staff is very polite and helpful and super knowledgeable about antiques. About 90% of my vintage ornament collection came from here.

Ornaments in all sizes, shapes, themes, and colors populate the aisles, and you can find any ornament to suit your decorating style, whether it's traditional with Santas and snowmen, or Dallas Cowboys and chili peppers. Massive Christmas trees are on display, each with a different style and theme to give you ideas on how to trim your own tree. This grand store is nothing short of spectacular, and with a reputation for being THE Christmas store in the state, you simply cannot miss. Just beware, with so many fabulous ornaments and decorations to choose from, you may wind up with more than you planned on buying (trust me!)

Sometimes the best stores to find the most unusual things are the lesser known ones. I have been a loyal customer to the Antique & Craft Mall of Mansfield for almost a decade. Every year at Christmas time, almost all of the dealers have Christmas ornaments for sale, ranging from antique glass balls, to fun 'crafty' style ornaments made by the area's leading crafters. One booth also carries ornaments with a western theme, perfect for trimming any Texan's tree! One bit of advice, be sure you really dig around, as sometimes the best items are obscured from plain sight (I have found many ornaments and decorations this way). The staff is super friendly here, and on weekends they sometimes serve refreshments!
