Most customers instinctively dismiss this extra expense as being a waste of money, but there are a few reasons you should take a moment to consider the extended warranty before denying it.

Extended warranties can seem expensive at face value but if you factor in that extended warranties can last as long as 3 years and the cost of being forced to buy a new computer or laptop at full retail price - the cost of an extended warranty starts to make sense. Extended warranties are viewed as just being an extra cost for a laptop or computer but they are best viewed as insurance for your computer - and at worst as a down payment on a new laptop or computer (if you opt for store credit). If you don't buy an extended warranty and your computer breaks down after a year (when the manufacturer's warranty is void) you'll have to pay full retail price for a new computer or laptop but with an extended warranty you'll be able to swap for a new computer or get store credit for the value of your laptop or computer. If you paid less money for your extended warranty than you did for your computer, you just saved money and had a worry free experience the entire time.
