3 Red Carpet Worthy Eveningwear Trends from Spring 2011
The 3 Hottest Trends in Women's Eveningwear for Spring 2011
1970's Inspired Eveningwear for the Red Carpet
Fashion's favorite decade was a major trend for spring 2011. However, it made a huge impact on red carpet looks for the upcoming season. Long flowing dresses in intensely bold colors are reminiscent of Yves Saint Laurent and vintage Halston from the 70's. These eveningwear pieces especially were dominant during Milan Fashion Week. Perhaps Emilio Pucci and Salvatore Ferragamo put forth the best eveningwear inspired by the 1970's for spring 2011 red carpet events.
Celeb picks for the trend: Halle Berry, Scarlett Johansson, Christina Hendricks and Jennifer Lopez.
Draped Eveningwear for Spring 2011 Red Carpets
Red carpet lovelies have Donna Karan and Badgley Mischka to thank for bringing the draped dress back to its simple elegance for the red carpet this coming spring. Draped evening dresses in champagne and shimmering pastel tones will make the red carpet glow in spring 2011. The key to wearing a draped dress successfully is to make sure the drape falls from your body in the right direction. This means, if you have any unevenness in your form, a body shaper may be required to help balance your form out. Whether short or floor length draped eveningwear it is sure to be a hit next spring.
Celeb picks for the trend: Gwyneth Paltrow, Courtney Cox-Arquette, Dianna Agron and Angelina Jolie.
Eveningwear to Make Her the Belle of the Ball on the Red Carpet
The ball gown is making a fairytale resurgence thanks in large part to Marchesa's spring 2011 eveningwear collection. Women's Wear Daily already picked Marchesa gowns to be the hot ticket item for red carpet events in spring 2011. The definitive ball gown from the collection is the black and white ombré, floor-length gown with an origami rose bodice.
Celeb picks for the trend: Anne Hathaway, Penelope Cruz, Debra Messing and Cate Blanchet
These three women's eveningwear trends for the red carpet will be much sought after by celebrities. For those on a budget, be on the lookout for more affordable versions of these stunning trends to hit stores like Macy's and affordable boutiques. These trends require a lot of confidence in order to pull these women's eveningwear looks off. So if you buy any of these, wear them like they were made just for you.

Post a CommentOne of the things I love about not being on the red carpet is that I get to wear whatever makes me happy for dressy events without worrying that someone thinks it's not fashionable. Half my closet is evening wear due to my work as a magician. I love ballgowns and sequins and beads and glitter.
Great article! =0)
