3 Steps to Gaining Weight

If you are a lot skinny males, you have been trying for a long time to try to get some size on your body. Let's face it. Girls are not into skinny, wimpy guys. They like muscles, and they love the men who have those muscles. So what do you do? You go to the gym or try to begin a workout plan to gain that body you have been longing for. One month passes, you still look the same. Two Months pass...hmm still no results. Third month comes, now the towel is being thrown in. This is the typical story for most men who want to gain weight. They don't know exactly the steps that they need to take to gain the mass that they want. If this your problem, then boy are you reading the right article. In this article, I want to explain to 3 things that you can start doing today, that will help you put on more size. Lets begin.

Eat and Eat Some More

Most people have the misconception that if you want to put on more size that all you have to do is just lift weights. While lifting weights is a very big part of gaining size, it is not the only factor. One key point that most men trying to build muscle miss is eating. If you want to gain weight you need to eat. Now I'm not just talking breakfast, lunch and dinner. For a person to gain muscle mass you need to be eating every 3 hours until it is time for you to go to bed, and you need to do this everyday. Now you don't want to eat junk food. We are trying to gain muscle not get fat. You want to eat clean foods like chicken, fish, rice, sweet potatoes and any other foods that is not high in fat or sugar. You want make sure you have at least one meat, one carb and on veggie. Do this every 3 hours and watch your muscle growth go insane.

Train Hard

Now eating every 3 hours is a great factor in gaining weight. But as I said before it is only part of the factor. While you are eating this food, you need to train and you need to train hard. Now when I talk about training, I am talking about weight training. You want to focus mainly on lifting free weights. For you to gain weight, you don't need to use any machines and you need do little or no cardio at all. When you start off with weight lifting, make sure you don't start off with an ego. What I mean is, don't go in the gym trying to lift 200lbs and you have never touched a weight ever in your life. Start off with a weight that you can lift and then work your way up. You have to remember, every one was a beginner at one point, and they had to go through the exact same process that you are going trough. So train hard and you will start seeing results, I guarantee.

Get Some Rest

So we have been eating our food, we have been pushing our self in the gym and now it is time for the third part of our plan in gaining more muscle. If you want to gain more muscle mass, then you need to rest. Resting is a vital part of your muscle growing. One thing you have to realize is that your muscles do not grow while you are lifting weights. They grow when you are not lifting. They grow when you are resting. You need to rest at least 2 days out of the week to give your muscles time to repair themselves. All of the food that you are eating while train is going to the muscles that need to be repaired. When you rest, it gives the body time get your muscles bigger. Most beginning bodybuilders can get in the mode where they want to work out everyday. They think if they do this every day, that It will make them bigger. It is the direct opposite. Working out everyday can stop your muscle growth. So to get bigger, rest, rest, rest.
