You are not going to get rich taking online paid surveys. I know there are tons of people and companies out there who practically swear on their life that they make some kind of supplemental or even a primary income from getting paid for their opinions but I will tell you I would have no qualms swearing on my life, as a challenge, that they are full of crap. Seriously. And by all means I would of course be absolutely thrilled to find someone who could really show me with physical hard evidence that they make enough from online paid survey sites to live on or even just pay their utility bills but I am confident that no one could.
I consider myself an expert in this online paid survey site department. I've been exploring it in depth through research and hands on participation for probably 7 years now. I am confident that I know the ins and outs of the business from the consumers end as well as the market research companies end so well that I've picked up a bunch of tricks of the trade.
Once again, you cannot rely on online paid survey sites to bring in any sort of steady or regular income. However, if you know how to properly make the most of your online paid survey panel membership you can at least get the next best thing. The next best thing in this context amounts to prizes bought with earned points, sweepstakes entries, and yes even a little bit of cash. Let it be clear though that these cash rewards often take months and tons of completed surveys to actually achieve and even then, when you get your eventual payout it rarely amounts to more than $5-$10 bucks.
So you've gotten the disclaimer. And now, if you still want to participate in these online paid survey opportunities for whatever reason (and in all honesty it can be really fun) read on for some quick tips on how to make the most of them. Follow my suggestions and you will undoubtedly make whatever it is to be made from your survey site participation.
***TIPS***
Take Surveys to Get Paid Tip #1: CHECK YOUR EMAIL FREQUENTLY
Paid survey opportunities will be announced to you in most cases through an invitation sent to the email address you signed up for the paid survey site panel with. One cannot predict when these survey invitations come but if you've signed up for several survey sites id be willing to bet you at least get a few survey invites a day. Unfortunately they expire once they've reached their quota and this can happen quicker than you might imagine. Check your email regularly, take the paid surveys as soon as possible and finally, and add the survey sites address to your mailing list so it doesn't get improperly filed as spam. After all, you do have to be in it to win it, as the saying goes.
Take Surveys to Get Paid Tip #2: COMPLETE PROFILE SURVEYS
Some paid survey sites have a profile questionnaire to fill out upon joining the membership panel and from then on you must only wait patiently for an invitation email. However, you will find that the majority of these market research companies have much more extensive profile questions available on your membership home page once you sign into your account. These profile surveys are typically optional and only occasionally give you points toward your account balance but if updated regularly can increase your chances of getting invited to more surveys. You should check the site regularly for new profile questions and complete the brief questionnaires as thoroughly as possible.
Take Surveys to Get Paid Tip #3: REFER FRIENDS
Most of the Paid survey sites or market research companies offer incentives for panel members to invite friends to participate in the paid survey opportunities. All sites do it differently in terms of type and value of the compensation they give you but some of them really reward you big for referrals. If you have friends who may enjoy getting paid to take surveys send them your referral link and encourage them to sign up. Some sites give you points, others cash credit toward your balance and the most rewarding ones allow you to earn money or points not only when your friend signs up but additionally for every single survey they take they reward you a little bit as well.f

Post a CommentThanks so much for the disclaimer at the beginning of this article ~ my college kids have often asked me if people really do make the "$1000-$5000 a week!!" income that these survey sites advertise and I just couldn't see how it was possible. $5 to $10 is definitely not worth it, considering the incredible amount of spam these sites are sure to generate.
I have been taking surveys online for a long time. There are a few that I have tested and used for some time and always get excellent compensation for taking their surveys. I have written a blog article about it with links to some of the best legitimate paid survey sites on the net. You can read my article here: legitimatepaidsurveysitesforyou.blogspot.com
