3 Ways to Decorate the Bedroom with Vintage Coke Coolers

Ann Siper
Retro Coke coolers and reproduction Coke coolers are a great way to decorate a guest bedroom or office/ bedroom in a fun bright retro design. Retro Coke coolers are metal coolers that stand about 14 inches tall. You can find them online new in the form of reproductions and they work great for these ideas as well.

Here are three ways to create some retro bedroom furniture using your vintage Coke Cooler.

Retro Bedroom Furniture Made from Coke Coolers #1: Night Tables

Retro Coke coolers make awesome night stands. They are sort of short, so you will need about 2 to make each night stand. Most of the Coke coolers made stand about 14 inches tall, which is perfect when two are stacked.

Tip: You can tape them together in the back for a little hidden stability. Do not use the tape if these are pristine retro Coke coolers that are valuable. The tape could damage the paint.

Another option is to use an old luggage stand that is similar in size to the retro Coke cooler. You can simply place on the suitcase stand and use it as a funky retro night stand.

Retro Bedroom Furniture Made from Coke Coolers #2: Storage Trunks

So, the space in the old vintage Coke coolers makes and awesome way to store tons of stuff. You can use a collection of them in th bedroom to function as storage trucks. Simply load the coolers with your out of season clothing and old books. Now, place them on shelves in the bedroom.

They look great, hide small items and add a ton of retro red color to the bedroom. You can mix and match these pieces to create a whole wall of cool storage and no one will have a clue they are more than something fun to look at.

Retro Bedroom Furniture Made from Coke Coolers #3: Retro Bench

Finally, to create fun retro low bench you need about 4 to 5 old or reproduction Coke coolers Line them up in a row. Measure how wide and long this is. Have a piece of board cut to this size. Cover in fabric and add a cushion and you have a fun bench perfect for a bedroom for all ages.

I recommend using reproduction coke coolers for this one, so no damage is ever don ot an old cooler in good condition. You can veen use reproduction Coke bottle fabric to finish the look.
