Need to Drop Just a Few Pounds in a Short Amount of Time?

Halloween is almost like the spring break of the fall. It's when everyone can just go crazy and wear whatever they want, the problem is they have to fit into the outfit they've been meticulously planning to wear since they thought of it. A lot of people go through crazy liquid diets or just stop eating altogether to get into the shape they want to be in for Halloween. There aren't many secrets to dropping a quick few pounds, but here are some helpful tips to get you started on your journey.

1. If you're training hard, take a week off, two weeks before Halloween. If you've been training really hard and all of a sudden your results haven't been showing off like they were in the beginning and you feel like you've hit a wall, take some time off. The time off will give your muscles time to rebuild and give you a chance to see more results. Get back to your training the week before Halloween, and watch your figure yield to your demands.

2. Add more protein to your diet through meats or protein shakes. Protein actually increases your metabolism, which we all love to hear. As you keep getting thinner your caloric intake will shrink which means you absolutely need more protein in your system to stay healthy and full of energy. The added protein will take away a pound or two within a week. Some great sources of protein are grilled chicken, egg whites, and lean beef.

3. Quicken the pace of your workouts. Instead of taking so much time between sets and reps, implement a routine that will get you through your workout faster. It's not necessarily a circuit training routine but one that will increase your reps and your total output. You will give more energy if you do your exercises faster and it will increase the intensity of the workouts so you can feel a stronger longer burn towards the end.

These are just some helpful tips into loosing a few pounds quickly, but the key still to loosing weight is eating healthy and exercising 5 or 6 times a week. It really is imperative to your workout that you take a rest once in awhile to allow muscle growth and rebuilding. You want to tear those muscles that they have to grow back bigger to sustain more intensity.
