3 Ways to Make Some Money Using the Internet

The first way I started making some money on the internet was by taking online surveys. While I haven't made a living taking online surveys, I have made some nice pocket money that I've used to pay a bill, get a haircut or save up for a mini vacation. Every little bit of money helps, as far as I'm concerned.

Paid survey sites will pay you for your opinion. Many companies look for consumer opinions and the internet is a great way to find them. Your opinions help the companies and may influence different and new products on the market. With most survey sites, you must join and register first. Then after registering, they will send you an email whenever they have a survey for you to take. Sometimes you will not qualify for a survey depending on what they are looking for.

When you do a survey, you have to be completely honest in your feedback. Lying or writing false information might get you kicked off the site and you may lose any rewards or points that you acquired. These companies want your true, honest opinions and information.

If you qualify for a survey, you might receive points or a cash bonus. Points will eventually add up and you can cash them in for items or cash, if available. A lot of survey sites are using Paypal to pay their members. I have used quite a number of survey sites and the ones I've used have been legitimate and have paid me on time. There are some survey sites out there that may ask you to pay a fee up front to join their site. Most of the time those sites are not legit and end up being a scam. Do not give your money to anyone to take surveys for them. You don't pay someone to get hired at a job, so don't give your money to a survey site. They are supposed to be paying you.

I would say I can average about $50 a month doing surveys. Sometimes I can make more, sometimes less, it depends on how much time I have, how many surveys they send me and how many surveys I complete. $50 a month may not seem like much, but if you save that $50, after 6 months you can have about $300 extra dollars and that to me is money for a one or two night mini vacation.

These survey sites also offer weekly or monthly sweepstakes. If your name gets picked in the drawing, then you will win the prize. Some prizes are $10,000 or more. That is some extra spending money I could use!

Look in a search engine for free paid survey sites. I say free because I advise you to only join the sites that are free and do not have any upfront fees.

The second way I've used the internet to make money is through Ebay. Online auctions are good for selling products that you just don't want or need anymore. I've sold used video games, used movies, unused gift cards, clothes and other items. You do have to pay a small fee to place your item up for bid on Ebay. If you have stuff lying around that you know you will never use but you think someone else could use it, set up an Ebay account, take a picture of the item and describe it. Watch as people make bids on your item. You might end up with extra spending money. The only thing is you will have to mail the items to these people yourself.

The third way that the internet has helped me to get some more extra spending money is through this site, Associated Content. Even though I am fairly new to AC, I can see that by writing articles and recieving upfront payments as well as perfomance pays, I am able to make a little extra money and every little bit goes a long way for me. If you like to write, and you have some time to do it, I've heard that you can make a decent amount of money, depending on the articles you write and how well they are written.

These are just the 3 of the ways I've used the internet to make some spending money. These 3 things have helped me out in more ways than one. Not only do I make money doing these things, but my mind is also being occupied and it gives me something productive to do when I have a lot of time available.
