3 Wonderful Books that I Would See Turned into Movies

They Could Generate Millions of Dollars

Although I feel uncomfortable with movie theaters, I always make every effort to purchase or rent movies which are based on my favorite books' stories. Currently, I am looking for the Plague (Albert Camus), the Tenth Men, and the Comedians (Graham Green), which are interesting novels that have been brought into big screen. On the other hand, I discovered 3 fantastic books that I would see turned into movies.

1. The Husband by Dean Koontz

The Husband would be one of the strongest and confident novels I ever read. Koontz has produced an extraordinary book, which presented a remarkable story about a devoted husband whose wife has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen. Mitch, the husband's nickname, had sixty hours to act. He had to show his love for his wife, either by killing the bandits, forsaking his wife to die, or pay two million cash ransom to get her back. I liked this story because it reminds me of Jesus' sacrifice to show the wealth of God's love and grace for humankind. He gave more than money for the forgiveness of our sins. He became ransom for sinners. I firmly believe that the Husband would be an excellent movie because it's about sacrifice and lifesaving. This movie would star Jim Caviezel as Mitchell Rafferty. Ashley Judd would assume the role of Mitch's wife, and the family's friend, Iggy, would be Dennis Quaid. I would choose Mel Gibson as the movie's director.

2. The Meaning of Night by Michael Cox

The Meaning of the Night is an extraordinary novel which presents criminal's experiences of a murderer, scholar, and booklover. I like this book because it is about confession, which is very important in human's life. I would like to see it turned into a movie under the title of "The Meaning of Life." The movie would star Michael Cox, the author, as Edward Charles Glyver and Charles H. Joff would perform the role of Phoebus Daunt. If I were the director I would add two more parts to the scripts: Repentance and conversion.

3. Ten Thousand Lovers by Edeet Ravel

Ten Thousand Lovers would make an interesting movie, for it is a beautiful book. It is the remarkable story of a young emigrant student, Lily, who found the love of her dreams in Israel, her new land. Everything was all right, except for her boyfriend's profession: Army interrogator. They both had to deal with the work's issue as they became madly in love with each other. This novel, according to Nancy Richler from The Globe and Mail, "revealed the beating heart of the state of Israel, as well as its wounded spirit."

The movie's lead part would go to Edeet Ravel as Lily and her lover, Amy, would be played by David Morrissey.
