31st Annual Mabel School Fall Festival: Oct. 13
Neighborhood: Mabel
Zionville, NC 28698
United States of America
I received word last night that the area of Zionville, North Carolina, known as the Mabel Community to locals is planning its 31st Annual Fall Festival for Mabel Elementary School.

The Parent Teacher Organization is working very hard this year to make this year's Fall Festival one of the best, and they are asking that locals, and visitors to the area come out and support the local community schools. Come and enjoy food, and drinks as well as air walks, and many other fall festival favorite games. There is also a silent auction planned with baskets that each class has put together. These baskets range from a "Movie Night" theme to a "Baby Basket". There most definately will be a basket that you will want to try for. There is no doubt that there will be something that will catch your eye, stomach, or your funny bone!

As most people know for small town schools their festival time of year is one of the biggest fund raisers for those schools. Especially schools in smaller communities that do not receive as much funding as some larger schools do. Mabel Elementary is no exception. Planning for these festivals is very rigorous and takes lots of planning and volunteers. It is not surprising that some plans go into place as soon as one festival ends, as to make the next years festival go smoother.

It is important for parents with children in these schools to reach out to their schools PTO and ask where they are needed or could be used. All schools no matter the size could use volunteers in some capacity. Volunteer any time that you may have to help out your area schools. No matter the time you have available, you would be surprised at just how far an hour a week or a month goes to help out this very important part of your school.

The 31st Annual Fall Festival for the Mabel Elementary School in Zionville, North Carolina, is at noon Saturday, Oct. 13, with food and drinks being available for purchase in the schools cafeteria. The booths and other activities will be open at 1 p.m. The festival is scheduled to end at 5p.m.

Bring out your entire family and enjoy an old time Fall Festival, and help out a wonderful school in the process. Come prepared for loads of fun, and laughter as you enjoy an amazing part of fall in the High Country of North Carolina.
