Mark your calendar for the 3rd Annual New Smyrna Beach Food Festival hosted by Rue & Ziffra, P.A. on Thursday, April 21st. Commencing at world-famous Flagler Avenue at 5 pm, guests can indulge in culinary delights provided by Volusia County's finest restaurants .

Last year, over 3,000 hungry beach-goers attended the New Smyrna Beach Food Festival, so consider early arrival. Local restaurateurs will present their finest fare from booths strategically placed along Flagler. Tastings are priced between $3 and $5, allowing guests to indulge in an eclectic meal for under $20.

Take along a healthy appetite so you can appreciate NSBs outstanding beach food. This year's culinary extravaganza includes tastings from local favorites including:

Flagler Tavern, known for award winning soups and their classic beach burger.

Clancy's Cantina, offering some of the best Mexican fare in town.

Peanuts, The one and only beachside sports bar and restaurant and known for serving "food with an attitude."

Atlantis Bistro, offering Italian-inspired gourmet food at the beach.

The Breakers Beach Restaurant, renowned for the NSB Burger and having the most versatile burger menu in town.

Café Heavenly, winner of numerous "Best of" awards including Best Smoothies and Wraps, Best Overall Restaurant, and 1st place winner of the Volusia County Chowder Cook-off for two consecutive years.

Live entertainment will be provided by eight bands throughout the 4-hour event. Guests can shop at vendor booths and browse unique boutiques and art galleries located along Flagler. A variety of sponsor booths will be setup offering discount coupons and freebie giveaways.

Grab a cold, frothy beverage from one of the beer gardens and enjoy ocean breezes rolling in from the boardwalk. Black Crow Media and the Observer Newspaper will be sponsoring a friendly foodie competition. A panel of judges will award a "Best in Show" trophy to the favorite entry.

Flagler Avenue will be closed to traffic from Pine to South Atlantic Streets, but plenty of free parking is available at Flagler Beach parking lot and next to Coronado Methodist Church at 201 S. Pennsylvania.
