4 Advantages of Being a Freelance Writer

Michelle Knudson
Freelance Writers often enjoy what they do. They always get to write each day. One thing that I wanted to point out is the four advantages of being a freelance writers. Here are the four advantages of being a freelance writer.

You Are In Charge Of The Articles That You Write

Freelance writer can either say yes or no to each writing gig that comes up. They are in control of topics that they decide to write about. They don't have to write about a subject that bores them to death unless the pay is so great that they can not refuse it. The more you work each day enables you to write your own paycheck at the end of the month. If you don't make the desired amount of money each month that you are capable of then you need to figure out where you are doing wrong.

You Sit In A Nice Air Conditioner Place

You don't have to work very hard out in the hot days that reach above one hundred degrees. You just sit at a desk or couch or whichever in a nice building that has air conditioner. Freelance Writers have the option to write in a library, home, outside, and travel in a cool comfortable environment.

You Don't Have To Deal With Manual Labor

You just sit there and type on a computer all day in the freelance writing world. You may have to make a few phone calls here and there, but it is no problem. You may end up with a little pain in the fingers from typing on a computer all day, but I think everyone goes through that at one time or another.

Small Investment On Equipment

The only thing that you need is a computer and a printer. You need to have Internet access on the computer as well. You can find free Internet at hotspots across the city in several places such as coffee shops and fast food joints. You can even find hotspots at local library in the area. You don't have to lug around a printer since you can always stop by a Kinko's to print out a few copies. Freelance Writers often use e-mail to send out articles. Regular postal mail is kinda a thing of the past unless you pitch to magazines that aren't online that pay several hundred per article.
