4 Beauty Must Haves for the Professional Woman

Malina Debrie
Women in the business world must keep four beauty items in their purse each day. What are those four beauty must haves for the professional woman?

A Comb and Brush

A professional woman who wants to or must demand respect form her peers has to always be well coiffed. Her hair must be totally in place with not one strain out of place. She must guarantee that when she is the focal point of a meeting, no one is looking at her unkempt hair rather than hearing her words. When a professional business woman is on the go, there are numerous items that can be kept out of sight in her purse, briefcase or in her pocket. Remember the male dominated world has always had the man with everything he needed in his pocket. Consider having one of those little pouches in your purse or if a purse is not appropriate, keep a Comb and Brush in your briefcase.

Moisturizer/Lotion

Never, ever be without your lotion or moisturizer. It's imperative that you place that power handshake on the executive when meeting for the first time. An individual judges you by the handshake or the dynamics of your handshake. A weak, dry, limp handshake is judged as a weak, unprepared person who has no stamina. Your handshake has to say your are prepared, well kept, ready and strong. When shaking a new business opponent or partners hand, you want your handshake to be a stron, dynamic grip, not too overpowering, but firm and smooth to the touch with a confidence behind the shake. Never leave home without your moisturizing hand cream or lotion. Also make sure you the hand cream or moisturizer before each meeting or after each time you wash your hands.

Concealer

In the afternoon, after the hectic activities of the early morning or the beginning of the day, your eyes begin to show the signs of fatigue. A concealer will decrease the sign of fatigue by diminishing the darkness that develops underneath the eyes. Take a moment to rejuvenate the area underneath the eyes with a small amount of concealer. Your eyes will begin to show a renewed energy and lively appearance. A concealer is a lifesaver for any woman who has a hectic schedule and numerous meeting to contend with during the day.

Eye Drops

Eye Drops Get the red out. Have you ever noticed during the afternoon when you become weary your eyes begin to show little lines and red veins? No one wants their eyes to appear red and tired. If you are in a meeting, your effectiveness begins to wane if your eyes appear tired. The focus is not on your presentation, but begins to be more on your eyes and your tired appearance than the information you are providing. Get the red out and keep it out by keeping a small tube of eye drops in your "Must Haves" kit. If you wear glasses or your eyes are sensitive, discuss the best product to use with your ophthalmologist.
