4 Features of the Canon Pixma MG5320 to Be Weary Of
The Worst Features of the Canon Pixma MG5320 All-In-One Printer
The Canon Pixma MG5320 is a wireless all-in-one printer that boasts fast speeds, quality speeds, disc labeling, and great bundled software, but although it has several great features, it also packs a few features that are less than ideal.
Ink Can Be Pricey
The Canon Pixma MG5320 has great ink quality and features a 5-ink system, but the great ink quality of the Canon Pixma MG5320 comes at the expense at very costly ink prices. Unfortunately, the Canon Pixma MG5320 doesn't support high yield cartridges (which can cut costs) and replacing five ink cartridges is sure to become an annoyance over the lifespan of this all-in-one printer. It'll cost approximately $70 to replace this printer's ink and considering that ink cost is the hidden fee behind the purchase of any printer, the Canon Pixma MG5320 might be more than most consumers are willing to bargain for.
No Wired Networking Option
The Canon Pixma MG5320 is a wireless printer, but unlike most wireless all-in-one printers, it doesn't have Ethernet networking support. Lots of consumers opt to connect their printers with a wired connection to cut down on wireless connection bandwidth and to serve for more speedy prints, but the lack of this feature on the Canon Pixma MG5320 is a lacking feature that hurts the overall appeal of this otherwise great AIO printer.
Lacks Faxing Capabilities
The Canon Pixma MG5320 is a 3-in-1 printer that's within the price range of standard 4-in-1 printers. This printer lacks the ability to fax documents, but while having a print, copy, scan, and fax might not be a requirement for most office uses, for the same price as Canon Pixma MG5320, consumers can easily opt for other Pixma printers within the same price range that also support document faxing.
Price
At a retail price of only $149, it might seem a bit odd to call the Canon Pixma MG5320 expensive, but considering its lacking features and the fact that it'll cost $70 (half of its price) to replace the Pixma MG5320's ink cartridges, the Canon Pixma MG5320 might seem like a bargain at first, but will prove to be expensive in the long run.
