Speaking from experience, atheists can find themselves the most alienated sector of society in regards to religion. People constantly take pity on atheists and try to convert them to their religion, whether it's Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, etc. If you are an atheist who is fed up with being the societal whipping boy, listen to these four atheist comedians to find escape from the religious persecution.

Though he passed away in June 2008, George Carlin's clever dismantlement of the logic behind religion is memorable and gut-wrenchingly humorous. Though he 'really did try' to do the whole 'religion thing', the paradoxes associated with God and his existence got to him in the end. He is in full, glamorous costume and makeup in some of his skits, which (while I think it's hilarious) may shock some people.

While he isn't a self-proclaimed atheist, Dane Cook has some funny things to say about his Catholic upbringing. He pokes fun at communion, comparing it to a 'Christ Cereal', and the practice of greeting everyone around you in church.
