Charlotte is filled with lots of child friendly restaurants that won't break your budget. Whether you are looking for great service, great deals, or just all around good food, there is something for everyone. Below are some of my favorite places to eat with children. The atmosphere in each place is relaxed and casual, and the food is great. Here are 4 of my favorite child friendly restaurants:
Pikes Old-Fashioned Soda Shop.If you're looking for a child friendly, economical place to dine with your family in Charlotte, Pikes is a great place. Pikes is all about nostalgia, starting with the old-fashioned cushioned counter stools at a soda bar that offers up hand stirred shakes, root beer floats, and banana splits. History continues with images from the past. A Pike's Rexall Pharmacy sign hangs and there is also an assortment of antique pharmacy bottle on display. Kids and parents alike will love the food, which ranges from cheeseburgers and fries to homemade meat loaf or broccoli casserole.
Bill Spoon's Barbeque. If you're looking for some good barbeque in a very simple setting, this is the place for you. The place has been a Charlotte tradition since 1963, sporting what has been hailed as some of the best Eastern NC barbeque there is. Eastern barbeque is made with a vinegar base without a hint of tomato or sugar. The atmosphere is very relaxed and a perfect place to bring your kids.
Amalfi. Amalfi is a great place for families to eat, and kids love the Italian cuisine. This small family-owned eatery in Charlotte serves up delicious Italian food. The owner is a native of Naples, which makes this place about as authentic Italian as one can get. There is a kids menu, and the atmosphere is relaxed, making Amalfi's a great place to spend an evening with your family.
Diamond Restaurant. This Charlotte family-owned restaurant has been around since 1945. It is relaxed and kid-friendly. The food is good and there is a diverse offering, ranging from corn dogs to pig wings. Kids and parents alike will enjoy the lively atmosphere.
Charlotte is filled with great child-friendly restaurants to suit every taste and style. The above are just a few of my favorites. Start your own list and have fun!
