4 More Ministries of the Holy Spirit

Kevin Smith
Previously, I did an article on the top five ministries of the Holy Spirit or the top five jobs of the Holy Spirit. Here I want to add 4 more ministries or jobs to that list. The first five ministries of the Holy Spirit in the order that I listed them before are, to quicken our moral bodies, to guide us into all truth, to reveal things to come, to remind us of things we were taught, and to correct and reprove the world of sin.

The sixth ministry of the Holy Spirit is to reprove or correct the world of righteousness. By empowering man to walk in righteousness he causes man to lose interest in unhealthy things. For example, a person who smokes a joint everyday after work, will begin to be reminded by the Holy Spirit, that their body is the temple of God. They will begin to be reminded, every time they light one up until they finally lose their taste for that joint and no longer pollute God's temple.

The seventh ministry of the Holy Spirit is that he reproves of judgment. The Holy Spirit lives in you so that you can judge a thing, but if you don't judge it, it will stay as it were. A good example of this would be, a little boy who tells his parents that he wants to be a girl. The parent is supposed to judge and correct that type of thought in their child. Feelings are not the basis of truth because how you feel changes and is unstable. In other words, you may feel a certain way about something today, but had a totally different feeling about that thing yesterday.

The eighth ministry of the Holy Spirit is that he testifies of the truth. When we decree or declare something, He will take that very thing, according to the word of God, and establish it. The Angels are also sent forth to minister and establish God's word.

The ninth ministry of the Holy Spirit according to Romans 8:26-27, is that He intercedes for the saints. The Holy Spirit will pray of things we do not know about. This is why some people will say that you don't have the Holy Spirit because you don't speak in tongues. The truth is that you have to have the Holy Spirit first in order to pray in tongues. Praying in tongues is also praying in the Spirit.

These are the ministries of the Holy Spirit or the jobs of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a very magnificent being to us Christians and the more we acknowledge Him, the clearer we can here Him when He is trying to speak to us and operate through us with His power. Always remember that when we lean on the Holy Spirit, we are empowered with the ability to get results.

    Dear Brother,

I am Fahim Qaiser from Pakistan. I have studied your web site, and I found it the most wonderful site to get right to the True Word of God. My suggestion for you is to create your material in my language of Urdu and Punjabi also. It will bring lots of blessings of the Word of God for the Pakistani and Indian Urdu and Punjabi speaking people. For that purpose I as a translator will bring your material into Urdu languages and into Punjabi language as well. Although it will take your low expenses as well, as fund for the Word of God to reach out to the deserving people. I my self, work on a local radio station also. Many times it becomes difficult for us to keep doing this because of being minorities and because of the lack of the financial resources. I will wait for your response.

    Sincerely,

    Fahim Qaiser ( Pakistan ).
