Of course I don't suggest reading all 4 at one time. You probably will want to pick one to start with and read it together. Study it. Apply it. Learn from it. I encourage you to give these books a chance to change your life.
The first book I would highly recommend is the The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman. This book goes over the 5 different love languages that we speak and helps us to identify which love language is ours. We usually have 2 primary dominant love languages. This book will help you and your spouse discover each others love language and teach you how to love each other in each other's own love languages. It tells us we tend to love our spouse the way we want to be loved speaking in our love language instead of theirs. You will definitely have numerous light bulb moments when reading this book! You can find this book at your local Christian bookstore, at big bookstores such as Borders and Barnes & Noble. You can also check at Amazon.com.
The next book I highly recommend is Love Busters by Willard F. Harley, Jr. This book will help you and your spouse learn how to avoid the 6 most common Love Busters that may be hurting your marriage. From selfish demands and dishonesty to annoying habits and angry outbursts. This book will show you that once you throw out these hurtful habits your love for each other can be restored and other issues can be more easily resolved. A great book for those who may be struggling in their marriage. This book can be found at bookstores near you or at Amazon.com.
A fun book is 1001 Ways To Be Romantic by Gregory Godek. It is full of great ideas with fun chapters like Lame Excuses, Romance on a Budget and The Golden Rule of Romance, plus many other chapters with catchy titles. This is a great book! I found this book on Amazon.com for around $7.00. As the title suggests it is full of ways to be romantic. Most are very unique and will probably give you ideas you haven't yet thought of.
The last book I recommend is The Act of Marriage by Tim & Beverly LaHaye. This books talks of The Act of Marriage and how it is a beautiful and intimate relationship that is shared between a husband and a wife. This book a definite must read for all couples.
Go out today and purchase one of these awesome books and see how it will change your marriage and your life for the better!
