4 Signs that Your Crush is into You

If you take everything literally like me, then you may not be able to distinguish between what is real and what's not, especially when it comes to dating. After dating the same guy off and on for five years, and seeing my friends go through different relationships, I have learned a lot about signals and what they mean. Here are 5 tips that I have learned that show that the guy you are crushing on really does like you:

1- He talks to you when his friends are around

I know that may not sound like a big deal, but if a guy goes out of his way to talk to you when he's around his buddies, then it's definitely a sign in your favor. I've seen guys who want nothing to do with a girl and will completely ignore her when they are around their friends, or even be rude to her just to make a point. If he's into you, he'll make it a point to talk to you, trust me.

2- He wants to hang out with you outside of school

If a guy wants to hang out with you outside of school, you've definitely caught his attention. Whether this means something as simple as going to the school basketball game together, or if he's taking you to dinner, just being around you when he doesn't have to be means that he is interested.

3- He picks on you and jokes with you

I know it doesn't sound very flattering to hear that a guy likes you if he jokes around with you or picks on you, but it's true. If a guy is trying to make you laugh, then he definitely is trying to catch your attention. For some reason it seems that guys have to find things to laugh about to cover their own insecurities. So next time he makes a joke, don't take it offensively, instead, throw a joke back at him and see how he handles it.

4- He tells you that you look pretty

Say you wear your favorite outfit to school and you know that you're definitely rocking it. In first period you see your crush, and he tells you that you look good, but instead of believing him, you think he is picking on you for dressing up. Stop taking everything the wrong way: if a guy tells you that you look good, he means it. Compliments aren't very easy to get out of them, so when you hear one smile about it, because it means he's attracted to you.
