4 New Signs He's Just Not that into You

When the book "He's Just Not That Into You" hit the market, comedian author Greg Behrendt blew up. He made several appearances on talk shows like Oprah giving women the kind of hard-hitting advice necessary to understand the male species - but this was several years ago. Now, the playing field has changed a bit and there are new ways to tell if a guy isn't that crazy about you. They are as follows:

1- You're not in his cell.
He's got everyone's phone number in his cell, but yours. Your number one man is still carrying a piece of paper or business card that can be easily lost. Then, when you call him, he always acts surprised to hear from you and can't necessarily recognize your voice. Consider expanding your dating pool because he's not serious about you (at least not yet).

2- He won't return texts.
Your so-called boyfriend is a text master. He knows how to key in letters faster on his BlackBerry than on the computer. Yet, when you send him a message, he never returns the favor. When you see him, he always says he never got your text, but you know this isn't true. This kind of behavior from a male is a new sign that he's just not that into you. Anyone who spends most of his day's texting his friends, but never has time for you thinks of you as a side salad, not a main course.

3- He won't exchange e-mails.
The guy you're dating refuses to exchange e-mails. He says he can't take personal ones at work and never checks his own at home. At first, you believe him. Then, you notice that whenever you run into one of his friends in town, he talks to him about the last e-mail he got from him and how funny it was (or wasn't). Your guy clearly accepts e-mails from anyone he considers close, but not you. This shows he is trying to limit your access to him just in case he wants to break away and quit seeing you. Treat him likewise and focus your efforts on someone else.

4- You're not his friend on Facebook.
Social sites are a big deal these days. If you're guy is on the most popular one - Facebook - and won't let you be his friend, this is a new sign he's just not that into you. Many people use Facebook to keep open communication with friends, families and lovers. So, a guy who doesn't want to let you into this world isn't ready for or trying to build a commitment. He's hiding parts of himself from you because you're not that important to his life.
