1. Use Your Legs
If your workplace is only 2-3 miles away from your house, start leaving the car at home and walk to work. Not only will it help kickstart your day, you will feel alert for the whole day at work. And imagine how good you're treating the planet by reducing carbon footprints.
If your workplace is too far from your house, the next best thing you can do is park far away from your workplace but still near enough to reach by feet, and still be on time.
Can't do that while you're at work? Then park at the far end of the supermarket so you'll still be walking more than ever. You don't even have to waste time searching for an empty space that's nearer to the entrance.
Try not to instant message or email your colleague. Walk to his/her cubicle to pass the message. As the Internet divides us apart, this action will surely create better bondings in the workplace.
2. Burn Fat While Being A Potato Couch
I mean, you can even use your TV watching time to squeeze in some fat-burning exercises. You can set a few rules about what exercise you should do when something happens on the TV program you're watching.
Example: When the news mentions about the White House, you do 50 reps of rope-skipping.
Just get creative. Or if you're lazy to think, get yourself off the couch whenever the commercials is on and do some pushups, situps.
3. Get A Fitball
Use it as a replacement to all your chairs and couches. You can even buy one specifically for your workplace, since you'll be spending most of your time sitting at the desk. The point of this is so that your core muscles will be worked to prevent you from falling back.
When your muscles are contracting, calories are being burned. Basically, you're burning fat unconsciously. How cool is that?
4. Drink More Water
You've probably heard this a million times but no one seem to tell you the truth behind why drinking more water can help burn fat. Here's why: the more hydrated you are, the higher your metabolisms are, and more calories are being burned.
Another added benefit of drinking more water is that it makes you less hungry, making you eat less at the same time.
Now that you've read all these simple stuffs, implement it in your daily life to see results.
