1. Reggae Fest
One of the only reggae festivals in Indiana, South Bend Reggae Fest never disappoints. This year, the line up includes Tosh1, son of famous reggae star Peter Tosh, and Alligator Blackbird, a three member band that combines reggae, rock, folk, and pop music. There will be rides for the kiddies and authentic AfriCaribbean cuisine. Admission is $20 at the door for adults, $15 in advance at all participating Martin's Supermarket locations, and free for children 12 and under. 2. St. Joseph County 4-H Fair
County Fairs are always a huge hit with kids and adults alike, and St. Joseph County Fair is not one you'll want to miss. Highlights at this year's fair include an elephant and tiger encounter, medieval jousting, and the rodeo. See a variety of farm animals, eat delicious fair food, and ride classic fair rides. The St. Joseph County Fair is being held July 2-10 at the St. Joseph County fairgrounds. For more information visit www.4hfair.com
3. Mishawaka Summerfest 27
Due to construction, this year's Summerfest will be taking place on Kamm Island on June 26th. The festival will begin with the annual pancake breakfast kicking off at 6:30 am and end with fireworks at approximately 10:30 pm. The annual 5k run and fun walk will start at 8am on city River-walk. Between these two events the park will be bustling with food and merchandise vendors, games and kids' activities, arts and crafts, an organic market, live entertainment and more. www.mishawakacity.com/summerfest
4. World Pulse Festival
South Bend's World Pulse Festival has humble beginnings. It began as a celebration festival for a local radio station and has since grown to have an average of 50,000 attendees. World Pulse Festival is one of Indiana's largest Christian music festivals and is once again offering free admission. This year's artists include Toby Mac, Amy Grant, Sidewalk Prophets, and more. The festival includes a kid's zone, a food court, and merchandise vendors. The festival will be held on August 14, 2010 on S. Ironwood Rd in South Bend.
