1. Reggae Fest

One of the only reggae festivals in Indiana, South Bend Reggae Fest never disappoints. This year, the line up includes Tosh1, son of famous reggae star Peter Tosh, and Alligator Blackbird, a three member band that combines reggae, rock, folk, and pop music. There will be rides for the kiddies and authentic AfriCaribbean cuisine. Admission is $20 at the door for adults, $15 in advance at all participating Martin's Supermarket locations, and free for children 12 and under. Reggae Fest will take place August 14, 2010 at the St. Joseph County Fairgrounds. For more information visit www.southbendreggae.com

County Fairs are always a huge hit with kids and adults alike, and St. Joseph County Fair is not one you'll want to miss. Highlights at this year's fair include an elephant and tiger encounter, medieval jousting, and the rodeo. See a variety of farm animals, eat delicious fair food, and ride classic fair rides. Due to construction, this year's Summerfest will be taking place on Kamm Island on June 26th. The festival will begin with the annual pancake breakfast kicking off at 6:30 am and end with fireworks at approximately 10:30 pm. The annual 5k run and fun walk will start at 8am on city River-walk. Between these two events the park will be bustling with food and merchandise vendors, games and kids' activities, arts and crafts, an organic market, live entertainment and more. www.mishawakacity.com/summerfest
