The Land Before Time (original)
Though umpteen sequels have degraded the reputation of the series, the original 1988 version of The Land Before Time is an adorable, well-written story with loveable characters and good animation. Younger kids who love the original version of The Land Before Time may also enjoy its many sequels, but the whole series may be too young for older kids and teens.
We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story
We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story is one of those movies that is strictly for children. With a generally high level of cheesiness and a cast featuring Jay Leno and John Goodman, this movie may be a good bet for younger kids because it is a rousing and fun story, but its gaping plot holes and raucously cheesy dialog make We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story a bit of a dinosaur movie groaner for anyone old enough to pay attention to the story. This movie is good for younger kids and toddlers, but may bore a mixed group with older children.
Denver the Last Dinosaur
Denver the Last Dinosaur was a late-80s television show about a dinosaur adopted by a group of teens in California after his egg is found in the La Brea Tarpits. As if the concept was not enough to hook the viewer into the show for good, Denver is a skateboarding dinosaur. This show is good for young kids, especially those into movies about dinosaurs and skateboarding, and might be a good bet for mixed age groups with a sense of humor about cheesy cartoons.
Dinosaurs
Dinosaurs the TV show is a comedy show about dinosaurs that has quirky characters that adults, teens and children can love. Dinosaurs ran in the early 1990s, and featured animatronic dinosaurs orchestrated by Jim Henson and Walt Disney production companies. This show is enjoyable for all ages because has many fun jokes for kids, including jokes about dinosaurs, as well as some jokes that adults and teens will get.
Because dinosaurs can be interesting to kids of all ages, dinosaur-themed parties are a good idea for groups of kids with diverse age ranges. Dinosaur movies can be a great way to wind down a party when it is coming to a close, or to get a moment of quiet time when hanging out with a rowdy group of youngsters.
