4 Ways Alcoholics Become Dangerous

Alcoholics are often confident that they are able to drive. Alcohol gives you a false sense of security. The Alcohol tries to give you more confidence in yourself, but it doesn't really give you more confidence. Here are four ways alcoholics become dangerous.

Domestic Violence Towards Family

Alcoholics tend to become violent towards family members. The alcoholics will usually do irrational things like beat up on their wife or children. The end result is that the alcoholic usually ends up in jail and the family suffers from the domestic violence. Horrible crimes are often the result of alcoholic being used when it happens.

Drunk Driving

The majority of crashes that happen in the night are due to drunk drivers. A victim of drunk driving is a horrible thing that one has to live through due to another driver being drunk. Drunk driving convictions also raises your insurance premiums. Drunk driving can cost the alcoholics several days in prison and a civil lawsuit that they will forever be paying back.

The DUI laws are getting tougher and tougher over the years. Some states only allow two DUIs before it becomes a felony. Some states usually only forgive DUI convictions that happened ten years in between each one.

Memory Blanks

Alcoholics that drink so much alcoholic often have memory blanks. Memory blanks can be quite scary for an alcoholic since they never know what they have done during a certain time frame. Some cases there has been violent episodes due to being drunk. Alcoholics have ended up in jail for hurting people by violence or rape.

Alcoholics commonly mix prescription pills with hard liquor. The mixing of pills and liquor can be a fatal combination. You can end up in the hospital on your death bed when you mix pills and alcohol together at the same time.

Alcohol Poison

We often lose a loved one to alcohol poison. This is usually caused by excessive drinking of the hard liquor. The body is overloaded with too much alcohol that makes the person end up dying in a horrible way. Alcohol poison happens more frequently than what most people think.

Make sure to help family members check into AA meetings. Check yourself into AA meetings if you are an alcoholic. You may end up saving your life or the life of another one day due to you being clean from alcohol abuse.
