4 Year Old Boy Get Suspended for Sexual Harassment
The father, Demarcus Blackwell said this is ridiculous that the teacher's aide would misread a huge from a 4 year old, and that she needs to be evalutated. Demarcus Blackwell demanded that the indcident be removed from his son's record. The sexual references were removed, but the request for an apology by the teacher aide, and the removal of all paperwork regarding this incident is denied. The files will refer to the incident as "inappropriate physical contact", in which this will follow him for the rest of his life, when their is in no way this 4 year old boy could have understood sexual contact of just giving a teacher aide a simple hug.
David Davis, executive director of the Advocacy Center, in Waco say, he agrees with Demarcus Blackwell, assuming the little boy has not had sexual encounters, or been inappropriately exposed to pornography, most of all 4 year olds are sexually innocent. The 4 year old boy can't comprehend what inappropriate sexual contact is, neither does he know what suspension is, time-out would have been a better solution instead of all this drama, and papers that will follow this little boy in his future. The teachers aide, school board, and principal needs to have a lawsuit held against them to reduce any further harm to this little boy, and other children as well, for false accusations of sexual behavior at such an age. The school also needs to improve their hiring standards and raise awareness of child development. La Vega administrators couldn't comment on this case due to privacy issues of the student. The teacher's aide really needs to understand that this little boy couldn't have known that he was doing anything wrong this case needs to be evaluated before being put permanetly on his record. It's a known fact that children that age are curious, but not about sexual harassment, but about life and human anatomy. Demarcus says he will continue to fight the district on this matter.

I am completely appalled. This is absolutely ridiculous. I feel sorry for the boy's family and I hope the teacher gets fired. She is a complete disgrace to women. She should be ashamed of herself. She has a disgusting mind and a person who would even THINK as she does, needs to be mentally evaluated herself.
this "aide" should be asked to leave.. she is no position to educate our children if she thinks a hug from a 4 year old could be anything but a hug from a 4 year old.
I can not believe that any teacher that has been properly trained in childhood development would have thought of it as anything other that what it was. A HUG!! Another reason why we should have more teachers instead of aides. I'll bet she doesn't have children of her own.
where is this womans mind ? what makes her think shes that so fantstic that a little boy would even think of her that way? she has issues, how pathetic. What 4 year old knows about sex? he hugs his Mum, is that to be thought of as improper now? shes in the wrong job.
