43rd Annual GMA Dove Awards to Be Held in Atlanta in 2012
The GMA Board of Directors and the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau announced on Wednesday, June 29 that the 43rd Annual GMA Dove Awards will again take place in Atlanta, GA in 2012. The awards show will also be aired on gmc.
Moving from its previous home at The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN this will be the second consecutive year that the GMA Dove Awards will be held in Atlanta. This past April, The 42nd Annual GMA Dove Awards quickly sold out for the 2011 award show at Atlanta's Fabulous Fox Theatre. The broadcast also garnered its highest ratings on gmc. Over 1.5 million viewers turned in to see host Sherri Shepherd and such artists as Female Vocalist of the Year Francesca Battistelli, Male Vocalist of the Year Chris August and other top Christian artists like Third Day, Casting Crowns, Natalie Grant , Steven Curtis Chapman, TobyMac, Chris Tomlin, Mary Mary, Kirk Franklin, Kenny Rogers and many others.
