4a Hair Texture Review of Ellin Lavar Products

Good Products at Good Prices but Not for Me

I am always willing to another hair care product that will not hurt my pocketbook and will work well with my 4a thick curly hair. Well, I am a noted fan of the Phyto Hair Product line and recently while shopping in CVS, I decided to try the Ellin Lavar Textures product line. I purchased the OptiMoist shampoo, SatinSoft conditioner, Reconstruct Masque moisturizing treatment and ThermMist Heat Protection. I had read various interviews about Ellin Lavar and was very excited to give the product line a try. Prior to using the products I had been wearing my hair natural with the help of Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1 Miracle Spray.

The next morning a washed my hair twice with the shampoo. The shampoo has a light and creamy feeling but it did not leave my hair feeling that way as do other hair shampoos targeted for my hair type do. Then I rinsed and applied the conditioner and let it set in my hair while combing through for about three minuets. I rinsed and my hair felt hard. So I then grabbed the deep moisturizing treatment and applied that to my hair and let it stay in for about fifteen minutes because my hair felt so hard. After rinsing my hair it felt a little less hard but not soft enough for my preference. So I used another brand 's deep treatment conditioner and my hair felt normal.

I then applied Phyto Defrissant and went through my normal routine for straightening my hair. The results were normal although the previous products did not do so well with my hair. Overall, I think that Ellin Lavar products may work better with relaxed hair. My hair type 4a needs lots of moisture from every product I used. I may retry the products again to have a final judgment but for the price at 7.99 per bottle with 50% off for the second bottle, I am not too upset with the outcome.
