4th Annual Stars and Stripes Festival Announces Expansion and Lineup

The 4th annual Stars & Stripes Festival is expanding and will be a four-day extravaganza held Friday, July 2 through Monday, July 5, 2010 located in the heart of downtown Mount Clemens.

As in years past, the Stars and Stripes festival will host a number of world-class recording artists along with the best local acts that the area has to offer.

This year National music performances includes the reunion of local rock group The Rockets, John Waite,Love & Theft, Dirty Americans and Stellar Drive on Friday, July 2, Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil, Fuel and local favorites Pistol Day Parade, Critical Bill and Hush on Saturday, July 3, Warrant, John Michael Montgomery & Apache Stone featuring Mike Lombardi from the Hit TV Show "Rescue Me"on Sunday, July 4th, and Jason Derulo on Sunday, July 5th.

There will also be a number of acts on the venue's other two stages including U2 and Pink Floyd tribute bands.

There is no admission charge for the festival and the live entertainment will encompass a wide variety of musical styles. The 2009 Stars & Stripes Festival drew over 400,000 people and event runners are hoping to surpass that this year.

In addition to the music, Stars & Stripes will feature a Salute to the Military, carnival rides and attractions, the popular Meijer Kid Zone with activities for youngsters, a art village and Taste of America Food Court offering all kinds of ethnic and American dishes.

Friday night will also feature a fireworks display.

    mount clemens stars and stripes festival 2010 has a great music line up.
