4th of July 2009 Fireworks and Celebrations Near Oahu and Maui in Hawaii
Fireworks in Hawaii Are Some of the Biggest, Best, and Most Spectacular
Lahaina, Maui in Hawaii will be having a special event on July 4, 2009 to celebrate Independence Day in the United States. There will be a free concert on Lahaina Library lawn starting at 5 pm. There will be an 8 p.m. display of fireworks that is best viewed by charter boats in the Lahaina Harbor. The 4th of July Celebrations in Lahaina, Maui is one of the largest annual events in Lahaina. There are cruises available for $50 to $100 which allow visitors to view the fireworks from the Harbor.
One of the top 25 largest fireworks displays in the country will be at Ala Moana Center. The fireworks are best viewed from Aina Moana Beach Park. The huge event begins at noon, and fireworks will be shot at the center at 8:30 p.m. on July 4. Ala Moana Center is at 1450 Ala Moana Boulevard, Honolulu. Their phone number is 808-955-9517.
There will also be 4th of July events going on at the following venues and locations in Hawaii: Turtle Bay Resort, Maunalua Bay, Kailua. These shows will be different than the standard nightly fireworks shows shown in Hawaii because there will be 4th of July festivities saturating the island and the parties should go on all night. Be sure to arrive early if you are driving and want to get a good parking space, because space is limited and it fills up fast.
If you want to catch a 4th of July pre-show of fireworks on July 3rd, the Aloha Tower Marketplace will be having an early fireworks display on July 3rd. The event is free, but it is recommended that visitors take the trolley because of lack of parking in the area. If you do choose to park at the event, parking ranges from $2-4.
If you are lucky enough to be in Hawaii on July 4th, check out the fireworks. The displays will be large and you can't miss the opportunity to celebrate the 4th of July in a place as beautiful as Maui.
