4th of July Barbecue Party Games that Anyone Can Play

u
The 4th of July is a time for celebration and fun, not just for drinking beer and watching the kids play. That is no way to have fun, and it's actually quite boring. Try and remember some of those games we all used to play in gym class when we were younger! Don't think you are going to lose hundreds of calories playing any of these games: The point is to have fun not, to worry about your weight. Besides, it's definitely better for you than sitting on that picnic table and drinking beer!

These are the games that I can remember playing from my youth. Not just kids can play these either, everyone can join in.

Horseshoe Toss- You can play this one on teams of two, or with just two people. A fun way to play is pair up parents and children!

Tossing Water Balloons - Why not get wet during one of the hottest months of the year? Yea, exactly, you have no retort! You want to do it.

Volleyball- This is a great game for children and adults because it doesn't really demand much talent. Kids might not know how to play, and you might not be in the best shape to play either. (Consumption of beer)

Badminton- Everyone can have fun playing this game, and the best part is you can use the volleyball net from before. All about saving money!

Croquet- This is particularly fun for kids if you let them make up their own course to play with instead of sticking with the original. You'll have fun watching them and they'll have fun playing!

Spoon Race- This is played with a hard boiled egg. Put people into teams, having each person on the team run a specific distance while keeping the egg on the spoon. If it falls off, and doesn't break, they can put it back on and try to reach the end. If the egg breaks, that team is disqualified. The team to cover the course in
the fastest time with no broken eggs wins!

You should try to incorporate as many of these games as you can. Feel free to bring in some of your own memories and games from when you were younger. Your kids will love it and so will you! Have fun!

These are great suggestions. My sister's looking to throw a birthday party. I'll pass this article along to her!
