The 11th Annual Red, White & Blue Festival has arrived again. There will be events on Friday, June 25th and Saturday, June 26th this year. There will be a variety of food and activities. Food will include jumbo hot dogs, grilled chicken sandwiches, nachos, and BBQ beef, pork, and chicken. There will also be funnel cakes, kettle popcorn, caramel apple bites, and gourmet frozen yogurt to name a few. Some of the activities include face painting, duck pond, rock climbing wall, and bean bag toss.

Events take place on and off of the Arkansas State University of Mountain Home campus. Some of the events have a fee while others do not. One of the events that will be held off campus is the Red, White & Blue Rodeo. It is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday nights. Another off campus event is the Festival Car Show held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The Rhino Rock Climbing Wall will be available on the ASUMH campus on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There is a $5 per person fee for this event. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission's Mobile Aquarium will be on the college campus on Saturday from 4:00pm to 10:00 p.m. There is no fee for this event. The Kids Zone, which also has no fee, will be on campus on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Activities include dart balloon game, duck pond, face painting, and patriotic bead necklaces.

There are numerous events packed into these two days. You can visit the following website to find the activities you and your friends and family would enjoy so you don't miss out. Saturday night at 9:25 p.m. is the 11th Annual Red, White & Blue Fireworks Show on the Arkansas State University campus. It has been called the best firework display in the area by some of my friends. I think it gets a little better each year. There is no admission charge. If you plan to attend, I recommend bringing lawn chairs or blankets. If it should rain, the fireworks show will take place on Sunday, June 28th. It is a great way to celebrate the holiday with friends and family. You don't want to miss it.
