4th of July Events in Eastern Upstate New York

Looking for a better way to have celebrate your 4^th of July in upstate NY? Look no further. In upstate NY, we may not have a parade every weekend, but we surely have our Independence Day celebrations. Whether you are looking for local places to celebrate or a new place to party, upstate NY has plenty of the 4^th of July spirit to go around. Here are some of the best places to celebrate your 4^th of July.

July 4^th Extravaganza

This holiday bash begins in the town of Port Jervis at 6 pm and ends in Matamoras, Pa. It is a day of patriotic spirit and fun with the reading of the Declaration of Independence, food, music and fireworks.

Ellenville Fireworks and Parade

Parade begins at noon on Canal Street in Ellenville, NY. Fireworks are at dusk at the Resnick Airport in Wawarsing.

Village of Saugerties 4^th of July Parade, Fireworks and Cantine Field Events

The parade starts at the high school at 11am and ends at Cantine Field. Throughout the day, there will be food, music and fun at Cantine Field as well as the spectacular fireworks show after dark.

Cairo 4^th of July Parade

A small parade in the historic town of Cairo. Come support the local businesses and organizations. This event takes place around 7pm on Wednesday.

Independence Day Parade and Fireworks

This event takes place at Windham Mountain and starts with a parade at 7 pm. There will be a barbeque and a fireworks display at sunset. It is a great tourist spot in the Catskills.

Dutchman's Landing Music in the Park

This is the classic music and fireworks celebration in the village of Catskill. The band playing this year is a classic rock band called Johnny Moon and the Starz. Fireworks will follow after the concert. Dutchman's Landing is on Main Street.

East Durham 4^th of July Parade

Although it is a 4^th of July celebration, the event is on the Saturday following the 4^th of July. The parade starts around noon with a small celebration afterwards. The location is in the little Irish town of East Durham. Come celebrate Independence Day with an Irish twist!

Athens Street Festival

In case you missed all the 4^th of July celebrations, you are still in time for the annual Athens Street Festival on July 14th in downtown Athens, NY. This festival is a family fun day for the entire family, with music, vendors, food, rides and more! There is even a fireworks display at dusk.
