So, not quite sure of what to do on Independence day? Here's a guide to help you decide what to do for a fun filled 4th of July in Lee County, Fla. No matter what festival you decide to attend you and your family are guaranteed to have a wonderful time with wonderful fireworks.

The first event takes place in Cape Coral and is called "Red White and Boom" and takes place on Cape Coral Parkway, and fireworks may be seen on the Cape Coral bridge. According to Cape Coral Daily Breeze, this celebration has been going on for 10 years", every year, hundreds of volunteers gather together to help set up the vending booths and to just make sure that everything is set up and ready for a fun filled day. The Cape Coral Daily Breeze writes that the price of the fire works runs around 30,000 dollars for the firework extravaganza. Go early and have fun walking through the many booths set up with food, and you are sure to have a fantastic time at the Red, White and Boom. The party will start at 4pm and end at 10pm. Fire works will start around 9:15pm.

Another festival not to miss is Riverfest, which will be held downtown Fort Myers in Centennial park. You will be able to expect lots of food, drinks, live music and fun games and activities for all. According to Downtownftmyers.com, there will be live music featuring the bands; The Kevin Fox Band, Both Hands, and Ronnie Morgan. The concerts will begin at 5:30 and admission will be free for all. Along with the live music there will be bounce houses and carnival like activities for the kids. Remember not to bring coolers, fireworks, umbrellas or pets, but do make sure to bring lawn chairs or anything to sit on. The festival will begin Wednesday at 4pm.

Also, to visit is Fourth of July on the Beach. It takes place starting at dusk and will occur on estero Blvd and times square. There will be food, fun and fireworks. Free for everyone, but make sure that you arrive early because it can become difficult getting over the bridge when it is busy, I don't want you to have to watch the fireworks from your car while in a traffic jam! It is known at the regions most wonderful fireworks, be sure not to miss it!

Lehigh Acres is hosting it's annual Freedom Family Festival located in Veterans Park. The festivities will begin at 10am and will continue all day long with food, games, and family activities. The fireworks will begin when the sun goes down and the party will last until around 11pm. Free for all, it will be sure to be a great time.

As you can see, there are many Fourth of July activities going on in our wonderful cities here in South West Florida, for more information on any of these events, I encourage you to contact The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce at (239)332-3624. Remember to arrive to all of these events early to be assured that you will find parking and that you will get the best spot possible to watch the fireworks.
