'Echoing darkness' - speaks a lot about the imagery. Kudos...
very well done.
Excellent description...I also can not deny this feeling of sadness when I read it, too. You have brilliantly evoked that mood with the last line. I have seen this happen, too. After the blaze and pretty colors in the sky, there IS darkness...AND a feeling of sadness that it's all over and done with. Fleeting -- just like those moments of excitement and magic that come and go and leave us wondering why they just can not last a wee bit longer.
Lovely! What a beautiful vision.
Picture perfect haiku. I wish I could write in that form, but I'm not disciplined enough to count syllables.
Very vivid indeed.
This is great! :)
Love it! It's been so long since I've seen fireworks over the water. But it does intensify the effect.
Highly evolved haiku. Nice.
