Are you looking for places to see fireworks in or around Memphis, Tennessee? If so, this is the place for you. I have did some research and came up with a detailed list of events for you and the family to enjoy. So get your Sunscreen and your family organized and pick an event to attend.

Starlight Spectacular at Bellevue Baptist Church
Bellevue is promising for the biggest fireworks display they have ever had at Bellevue. Bring your picnic baskets and sit on the soccer fields. If you want to grill food, the grill area will be open. If you choose they will start selling cold drinks and food at around 5pm. At 7pm their musical guest hit the stage. This year their two feature artists are "33 Miles" and "The Isaacs"; there will be more artists also on the stage. After dark, Bellevue Orchestra will give the background music to the spectacular fireworks display. Leave your pets and alcohol, tobacco, rollerblades, Bikes, and skateboards at home. They will be letting traffic enter from Appling Road only to Bellevue's parking.

Bartlett Fireworks Extravaganza at Bobby K. Flaherty Municipal Center
Festivities are from 6:30pm to 10:00pm and there will be food vendors throughout that you can purchase food from. Be wowed by the Bartlett Community Concert Band and the Memphis Sounds Band while you check out all of the activities that they have set up for the family. There is face painting, a car show, games for the kids, and much more. Fireworks start at dark, I have been to this before and can say that they put on a good fireworks show. One thing to keep in mind is that due to the festivities, Appling road between Southern Way and Flaherty Place will be shut down starting at 4pm.

Collierville Independence Day Celebration at H.W. Cox Park
Bring your lawn chairs and join the festivities that start at 6pm with Country Grammar taking the stage. Other entertainment includes Soulsations. There will be activities for the whole family including food vendors to get your food from.

Firecracker 5k run for St. Jude at the Racquet Club
Racers need to check in by 6pm but if the runner registers before July 3, 2008 they will receive a ChampionChip that will automatically log their run times for them. For a donation of $10 you will get a dinner wristband that will include hamburgers, hot dogs, watermelon, Chips, potato salad, cookies. Wheelchair applicants are accepted. The race will officially start at 7pm. Bring your bathing suit for an after the race pool party.

Hernando Picnic and Parade in the Court's Square
This is a great event for the family to enjoy. Help your child decorate their bikes, scooters, and any other non-motored transportation and let them join in the festive parade that is to go around the Historic Court Square. Refreshments are free. If you have the time stay for a movie night under the stars. This sounds like a major fun family night.

Southaven July 4th Celebration at Snowden Grove Park
Bring the family for a picnic and listen to Christian music. Fireworks will follow.

Independence Day in Olive Branch at the Olive Branch City Park
Come and enjoy the fireworks, food, and games. You can bring lawn chairs to this event. It starts at 5pm till the fireworks are over.

Flag City Freedom Celebration at Navy Lake
This fireworks event seems to always get bigger every year. Matthew and Gunnar Nelson (Ricky Nelson's sons) will be the live music at the event. This is a great family event to attend.

Fireworks on the farm at Cedar Hill Farms
If you love Bluegrass music this is where you need to be. A local talented group "Grassfire" is playing. Family activities include hayrides, petting zoo, pony rides, and much more. Everything gets started at 5:30pm and the fireworks are set to start around 9:15pm.

Star Spangled Celebration in Tom Lee Park
This is one of the biggest fireworks displays of the season. There is plenty of activities for the family. Things get started around 3pm.

Germantown Family 4th Celebration
The fun begins at 5pm and the fireworks are said to start around 9:10pm. This is something for the whole family to enjoy.

As you can see there is something for everyone to attend. I hope that everyone has a safe and fun-filled July 4th holiday. As you are watching the fireworks or eating the BBQ, remember why we have this holiday and show respect to the veterans.

    Just letting you guys know, the flag city freedom celebration at navy lake in millington is on the 3rd not the 4th
