4th of July: Patriotic Coloring Pages and Printables for Kids

Our children love to color and create new things. Let's teach our kids about the holiday season this 4th of July by using coloring pages and printables. Here is a list of the top 10 coloring pages and printables for 4th of July.

1-Teach your children all about the different flags in the world this 4th of July. From the Australian Flag to the United Kingdom Flag the Coloring Castle site has it all. You can download the flags with a coloring key or blank. Visit the Coloring Castle online for a full list of flags.

2- Kaboose.com offers a great array of coloring pages for your children to learn from. Cartoon designs of Uncle Sam, the American Eagle, and a Revolutionary War band make these pages fun to color. There are also Rockets and an American Ribbon. Print out these coloring pages at Kaboose.

3- Printable crafts for your children to make and color are also big fun on 4th of July. Enchanted Learning offers a 4th of July activity book, patriotic pinwheel, stick flag, wind sock, string of stars, and star wreath among many other things for your children to make. 4- George Washington printables will teach our children about the American History. The 4th of July represents our country, its leaders, and our freedom. Why not start with George Washington. Here is a printable book for early readers that teaches children when Washington was born, how he fought in the Revolutionary War against Britain, and had false teeth made from hippo ivory.

5- Given to America from France in recognition of their shared alliance during the American Revolution the Statue of Liberty represents more than we could ever imagine to this country. You can find a printout of this historic statue on EnchantedLearning.com. The printout includes the statue's dimensions in meters and feet.

6- George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln are forever remembered in the stone of Mount Rushmore. 400 workers sat in swing seats and used hammers, drills, and jackhammers to create the memorial. 7- Let's learn about our country's capital by coloring a map and answering questions on this printout. Some of the questions include, "What river borders Washington D.C. on the southwest?" and "In which part of the USA is Washington D.C. located: north, south, east, or west?" Print this page out.

8- Located in Pennsylvania the Liberty Bell symbolizes freedom in the US. This bell rang after the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence and to announce presidential elections. First having cracked during a test ringing, it was recast and later cracked again in 1835. 9- Disney Family Fun is offering seven printable activities for your kids this 4th of July. Color, cut, and create different projects. 4th of July matching games, word scramblers, firecracker coloring page, fireworks connect the dots, stickers, and other patriotic activities.
