I love the 4th of July. Celebrating our independence with food and firework. There are many free activities in Raleigh, NC and they can be hard to find, since they are advertised very well. I have compiled a list of events in NC.

The biggest event is at the State Fairgrounds. They have a great fireworks show around 9pm. Before the finale event there are vendors, games, and live music. This event is free as well as parking. Start time: 5pm End time: 9:30pm. Address location is 1025 Blue Ridge Rd., Raleigh, NC. For more information call (919) 821-7400

Our next event is at Fort Bragg, which its located in Fayetteville, NC. I have never been here but they have live music, fireworks, and food. This even starts at 3pm ends at 10pm. This is open to the public and admissions is free. They have a "kiddie land" which is $5 (all day usage). For more information call 919-396-3919.

Koka Booth Amphitheater is an event for kids. Admissions is free. It starts at 3pm, the symphony starts at 7:30pm and then there is a fireworks show.

Again for all you history buffs like myself. There is an event downtown Raleigh, the old fashion way. There will be a neutralization ceremony (new citizens), reading of the Declaration of Independence, and re-enactments of the American Revolution. This event starts at 12 noon to 4pm. The location is near the Museum of History and admission is free.

I hop you enjoy the 4th of July.
