The busy days of summer is approaching and so is the 4th/Fourth of July. Are you hosting and party? Maybe you are going to a party and need a covered dish to take with you? Well I have the greatest recipe for you to make. Fruit salad is always a hit at any party and it seems like common sense to have a summer fruit salad at any 4th/Fourth of July celebration.

As a busy mom of three, I know time is very precious. I do not have time to peel fruit, make melon balls and all the fuse that comes with making a fresh fruit salad. Not to mention what that would actually cast to make. A 4th/Fourth of July celebration is supposed to be fun, not expensive so lets make your covered dish easy and in-expensive. Even the worse cook in the world could make this fruit salad. You will be surprised at the reaction your fruit salad will get at your 4th/Fourth of July celebration.

The amount you make will depend on the amount of guests that you invite you your 4th/Fourth of July celebration. If more is needed just double or triple the amount of ingredients called for. Store brand items maybe used to save money.

1 LARGE CAN OF FRUIT COCKTAIL
1 LARGE CAN PEACH SLICES
1 LARGE CAN PINEAPPLE CHUNKS
3 LARGE BANANAS
1 SMALL BASKET OF STRAWBERRIES
1/4 CUP OF DRY TANG
1 SMALL BOX OF VANILLA INSTANT PUDDING

MIX ALL FRUIT WELL (DO NOT DRAIN JUICE). SPRINKLE DRY PUDDING OVER FRUIT MIX WELL. NEXT SPRINKLE DRY TANG ON TOP AND STIR
UNTIL WELL BLENDED. CHILL BEFORE SERVING.

I typically make this recipe the night before my 4th/Fourth of July Celebration so the flavor of the pudding and tang can be absorbed by the canned fruit. The dry tang keeps the bananas from turning black so your fruit salad will look freshly even though you made it the night before.

Keep in mind that the ingredients in this fruit salad are readily available all year long, which will make this fruit salad practicable at any and all family gatherings not just this upcoming 4th/Fourth of July celebration.
