5 Action Films to Look Forward To

Movies to Be Released in 2010

Although some action flicks are just shoot-em-up nonstop destruction sequences, nothing can beat a movie that has an intriguing plot as well as unique exploding, fighting, or crashing sequences. Here are 5 action movies that may very well thrill and intrigue us. These are my top 5 action movies, in alphabetical order, to look for in 2010.

1) Death of a Dissident Heat is one of my all time favorite action flicks, and movies made from novels are always a treat. Michael Mann has a project about a Russian spy, (that's based on an unpublished book), to to come out next year. However, since this film is still in production, the release date is still yet to be determined.

2) The Edge of Darkness Mel Gibson stars as a homocide detective whose grown daughter, involved in politics, is murdered. It's directed by Martin Campbell, famous for directing other well known action flicks like the Legend of Zorro and GoldenEye. This next film of his looks really promising. ( View the trailer.) It is set to be released January 29, 2010.

3) The Karate Kid Jackie Chan never disappoints and he's set to deliver again next year with his new movie with Jaden Smith. The story is the same, a boy with a single mother facing difficulties takes to karate. The action though should be fantastic and new. This movie is set to be released this summer, June 11, 2010.

4) Salt Angelina Jolie has been in some great action flicks, and this next one looks like no exception. She stars as a CIA agent that is accused of being a Russian spy on a mission to kill the president. (View the trailer.) Salt is set to be realeased July 23, 2010.

5) The Takers I'm always on the look out for a movie with Matt Dillon, and this time he plays a bank robber. The team plans a heist for 20 million. (View the trailer.) It is set to be released Feb 26, 2010.
