Jonathan McGill
I know that when you get those 0 APR credit cards in the mail you might just want to throw it away, assuming that it has to be too good to be true. However, before your throw that card into oblivion, you should probably take a look at it. There are a few little known advantages to owning a 0 apr credit card that you may not have thought of yet.

1. Transferring the balance of high interest cards

The first advantage is you can transfer the balance of a high interest rate credit card. For instance, if you have a credit card that you use a lot but have troubles paying it off, you can transfer the balance from that card to your 0 apr credit card. If you are paying super high interest rates on the other card, and you don't even want to use it anymore because you can only pay the minimum balance, this is an optimal choice for you. Using this advice you will not only be able to pay of the high interest card's balance but you will also earn your purchasing power back

2. One Card Consolidation

If you're somebody with multiple maxed out credit cards, then consolidating those debts on just one card would be a great way for you to pay off your debt quickly and easily. So instead of paying for just the interest every month you would be able to pay on the principle for the whole 0 APR introductory period.

3. High Interest Loan Balances

If you're paying steep interest rates on your car loan, then this is a great time for you to pay off that loan with no interest. Just pay the balance off at the bank using your 0 apr credit card the pay the rest of the balance off interest free.

4. Finance Big Ticket Purchases with No Interest

Do you want to buy an appliance or some furniture? Maybe you want to buy a plane ticket to Europe. Just use your 0 apr credit card to finance the purchase with no interest.

5. Improve Credit

Paying off those debts on time every month will improve your credit score and make it more likely for you to get credit offers in the future.

Remember to be careful with the 0 apr credit. I know I made some very flattering points, however, if you don't pay close attention you can end up worse than you started.
