1) Stains
Chalk can be used to help clean stains. Rub some chalk on the stain and let the chalk soak in. The fiber in the chalk will soak up the oils in the stain. Then when the piece of clothing is washed it will help to remove the stain.
2) Screwdrivers
Sometimes a screwdriver is hard to use because the tip of the screwdriver will slip off the screw, the screw will drop to the floor and you'll spend the next 10 minutes on your hands and knees looking for a screw. Apply some chalk to the tip of the screwdriver and then it will be less likely to slip off the screw.
3) Ants
For some reasons ants do not like chalk. Some think the calcium carbonate in the chalk has some kind of affect on ants and others think they simply don't like the feeling of chalk when they walk on it. Regardless of the reason you can prevent ants from getting in the house but drawing a line of chalk around the doorways and windowsills in the house.
4) Tools
One of chalk's most useful abilities is to absorb moisture. Leave a piece of chalk in your toolbox and it will absorb any moisture that might collect. This will prevent the tools from rusting.
5) Ceiling
Every once in a while the ceiling might get accidentally scratched and the owner might not have the time to proper fix the scratch. The good news is that nobody sees the ceiling from a close up (unless you live in a family of giants) so the mark can be covered with chalk until there is tie to properly fix the marking.
