5 Best Conservative Blogs On-Line

Lindsey Russell
Included below are five of the best conservative blogs on-line.

1. JoshuaPundit -

One of the most thought-provoking blogs on-line today, JoshuaPundit thoroughly covered the war between Lebanon and Israel last summer. His continued support of Israel and in-depth coverage of the Middle East is inspiring. The blog continues to participate in the Watcher's Council, a homegrown group of bloggers created to recognize the best blog content amongst its members. This weekly fixture brings you the best articles from around the blogosphere. It is wonderful way to get a fresh perspective on all of the turmoil in the Middle East. Your average NBC, ABC, or CBS news report doesn't even come close to giving you the perspective that this blog does.

2. Atlas Shrugs -

Atlas Shrugs is one of the most controversial blogs I've come across. Far from touting the Republican Party line, Atlas Shrugs offers a unique conservative perspective on a wide range of topics. It also serves as a great clearinghouse for a wide range of conservative blogs and unbiased reporting. It includes some of the most original political thought I've ever come across.

3. Michelle Malkin -

This regular Fox News contributor, who brings a fresh and unique perspective to many broadcasts, has a popular blog of her own. She isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in and she takes people to task for providing misleading information. Like many great bloggers, she also brings to attention stories ignored by the mainstream media.

4. Little Green Footballs -

This website, a colloquium of resourceful bloggers, in addition to providing yet another refreshing look at what is really going on in politics and the Middle East, it too serves as a portal to a much larger group of intriguing blogs - left, right, and center - known collectively as Pajamas Media.

5. Real Clear Politics -

This in-depth blog offers a continuous source of thought provoking political articles. It asks questions that most people would never dream up and provides you with great interviews and unique material.

No matter where you stand on the issues of the day, it is not wise to remain ignorant of the other side's point of view. While Democratic bloggers have received a lot of attention in recent months and years, there are just as many conservative bloggers out there. It doesn't matter if you agree with what they are saying or not, the insightful blogs listed above are guaranteed to make you think. I think that most people would agree that this is a pivotal point in our nation's history. It is time that people become informed on all sides of the issue and stop receiving their news from only sources that support their ideals and beliefs. There has always been, and always will be, two sides to every story. If we are to move ahead as a nation, we need to start listening to each other first. It isn't much fun to have a one-sided conversation. So, even if you are a die-hard liberal Democrat, I urge you to take a look at some of the blogs that I mentioned. It might just give you a new perspective.

www.LibertyJunkie.com is another one of the best conservative blog sites. Similar to Drudge in that it pulls in from many other sites.
