5 of the Best Country Break-Up Songs

Country Songs About Letting Go

K. Anderson
I have been a huge fan of country music for as long as I can remember. I guess it comes from my southern roots, but I just love the sound of this music. I am particularly fond of love songs and I believe strongly that there is one person our there for everyone. However, I have friends that have had their hearts broken, and there are occasional country break-up songs that offer a good lesson for breaking up and moving on. So for all you who may have had a recent break-up and are trying to get over it, here are what I believe to be 5 of the best country break-up songs.

1- I'm Movin' On- Rascal Flatts

This is a song for all of you who have been holding on to someone for way too long and finally just need to say okay, it's time- and move on. The words to this song make it clear that you can move on and still see happiness in the future. Life has been waiting for you to let go, and it's time to move on.

2- Big Deal- Leann Rimes

This song is good for all of you who have someone that is so caught up in themselves you just had to let them go. It's about them trying to rub in what they have even after you broke up, and you being able to say big deal, so what? You are free now, and you make your own rules.

3- I Feel Bad- Rascal Flatts

This is a country break-up song that talks about how you have cared for so long that by the time you break up for good you don't even feel bad anymore. It's just time to say goodbye and move on.

4- Let Me Let Go- Faith Hill

This is a sadder break-up song about someone who cannot let go of the one they love. No matter how hard they try to let go of everything, it's still hard because the other person is always on their mind and heart.

5- Please Remember- Leann Rimes

This is a sad break-up song, however it conveys the message that even though you broke up you don't have to forget everything you experienced with someone. You can move on but still remember the good times you had together.

Each of these songs talks about breaking up and finding a way to move on. I hope the words from these songs will impact your life in some way. I'm sure I'll be sending more country songs your way in the future, so keep an eye out!
