Unfortunately, many of the communities that make up the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex have been forced to cancel their traditional Fourth of July celebrations, including fireworks, due to budgetary constraints. Fireworks in Dallas is back on-- but not until July 5th. Luckily for the citizens of Dallas and Fort Worth, Addison is not one of them, and will be showing its awesome fireworks display on Saturday, July 3rd. Kaboom Town is sure to be even more crowded than usual, if that's even possible, so plan to arrive early to secure parking and the best possible view.
Kaboom Town! has been rated one of the United States' best fireworks shows by the Wall Street Journal, the American Pyrotechnic Association and USA Today. The half hour fireworks display starts at 9:30 pm on Saturday, July 3, 2010. The fireworks will be choreographed to music that will be simulcast on 100.3 Jack FM. As a part of the Kaboom Town celebration, Addison is also hosting a flyover by the Cavanaugh Flight Museum Warbirds. The flyover starts at 7:30 pm.
In addition to Addison's official Fourth of July Celebration, many of Addison's bars and restaurants are also hosting Fourth of July fireworks watching parties. Aside from Addison's official Kaboom Town celebration in Addison Circle Park, the best places to watch the fireworks and flyover tend to be located south of Beltline Road.

Addison's Circle Park
Kaboom Town's ground zero, Addison's official Fourth of July Celebration is the best choice if you have children. In addition to the live music, there will be a plethora of family friendly activities, such as climbing wall and a giant slide. Food will be plentiful and readily available from booths set up in the park, or you can bring a picnic.
There is parking available, but quite often the best choice is to park on the outskirts and walk. No matter which option you choose, make sure to get there early. Addison's official Kaboom Town! watching party starts at 5:00 pm. Afterwards, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Kaboom Town!, there will be a free showing of the 80s cult classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off . Stay and watch it while the traffic dies down.
Duke's Roadhouse
Duke's Roadhouse is located at 4180 Beltline Road, Addison, Texas on the southwest corner of Beltline and Midway. Duke's will be heaving on July 3d, thanks to their prime location and awesome patio. If you want to go to Duke's Roadhouse to watch the Kaboom Town! fireworks display, plan to arrive really early, then show up an hour before that. The phone number is (214) 769 - 2763.
Cantino Laredo

Blackfinn Restaurant & Saloon
Blackfinn American Saloon will also be hosting a Kaboom Town! Extravaganza with a DJ and drink specials. Texas BBQ Party on the Patio starting at 5:00 pm. Blackfinn is located on the south side of Beltline at 4440 Beltline Road, Addison, Texas, and the phone number is (469) 374 -7667.
Addison Point

Dodie's Cajun Diner
Dodie's Cajun Diner has great food and a great location for watching the Kaboom Town! fireworks display. Dodie's is located on the south side of Beltline at 4812 Beltline Road. The phone number is (972) 387 - 0004.
The Quarter
The Quarter Bar has a great location and plenty of outdoor seating, and of course they will once again host their own Kaboom Town! Patio Party. The Quarter is located at 15201 Addison Road. It's quite close to Addison Circle Park, so of course you want to make sure to get there early. They are taking reservations from 4 to 6 pm only; after that it's first come, first served.
