5 Best Type of Facebookers

Tim Searles
CNN published an article that discussed the 12 most annoying types of Facebookers. You can read the article by clicking here. I do agree that some of these categories are quite annoying. I specifically am partial to the "Let-Me-Tell-You-Every-Detail-of-My-Day" types, and the "TMIer".

Anyway, I wanted to talk about the BEST type of Facebookers. I can think of five offhand:

The "Encourager"
These people actually write meaningful status updates and/or great quotes. You actually feel better after reading their update. They may say things like, "Be encouraged, today is going to be a great day for you," or, "Hold on just a little while, I believe in you." It may seem completely general, but you actually feel like it's written for you. Contrary to the "Town-Crier" that CNN refers to (and usually it's only cries for bad news, which is what makes it worse) this type is actually needed.

The "Enquirer"
These are the people who aren't writing about gossip but actually have questions that are important or interesting and people can chime in and give valuable feedback. I know personally I've found a lot of good information from people who write status updates that ask great questions. I've personally put up questions and have gotten great feedback that has been helpful - from recipes to questions about culture to thoughts about life. People are generally good about providing feedback based on if they're passionate about a topic or if they just have a good response. Of course, you'll get your usual smart-comment, but that comes with the territory.

The "Narrator"
These are the ones who actually put up great pictures and tell great stories through their status updates. Not to say that they have long status messages or anything like that but they're actually informative and to the point. You don't mind going through their photo albums, you don't mind reading their status updates, and you don't mind sending them messages or even tagging them in your photos as it may trigger great memories for them.

The "Leader"
This is the person who starts groups that actually mean something and will help people. I've seen plenty of groups on Facebook that are just for fun, but there are some that could revolutionize the world as we know it. Groups on how to market businesses successful, to raising money for organizations, to helping children get into college, etc. These are people who are taking Facebook to another level and not only using it as a great networking tool, but also as a great marketing tool for a worthwhile cause or effort.

The "Giver"
I'm referring to those who share relevant links and or relevant videos to their "friends." One of the people in my network does a video blog and it is hilarious! I look forward to seeing and hearing his video blogs that he publishes from time to time. I have another person who will send interesting articles from other online publications and it starts great discussion among us. These are the people who know what good information is and doesn't mind sharing it. Not the pointless drivel of gossip or hearsay or articles that don't mean anything. They give of their research and their time to fellow "friends."
