5 Celebrities Who Smoke Pot

Justin Timberlake recently openly acknowledged that he smokes pot. What other celebrities from the entertainment world are advocates of marijuana use? Many have been caught, but not many have openly admitted to smoking pot. With that in mind, here are some of the most well known celebrities who have either been caught or admitted to pot smoking.

1) Justin Timberlake
Timberlake comes clean in the Playboy Magazine article. Timberlake, when asked if he smokes pot, says "absolutely" during the question and answer session. He also says that "some people are just better off high." It seems from the story that his use dates back quite some time. Timberlake, who often portrays a clean cut image, might be one of the more surprising people on this list of celebrities who smoke pot.

2) Willie Nelson
Literally the grandfather of all celebrity pot smokers, Nelson admitted his marijuana usage to Larry King during a 2010 interview on CNN. In fact, Nelson admitted to smoking a joint just before doing the interview. Should that shock anyone that Nelson is a pot smoker? Probably not. Nelson is a strong advocate and supporter of legalizing the drug. The country music singer has also had a few brushes with the law over the years.

3) Woody Harrelson
This actor is often linked as being a supporter in the fight to get smoking pot legalized. Harrelson told Playboy in 2009 that smoking marijuana is just something he enjoys. The former "Cheers" star has managed a decent career in various movies over the years.

4) Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton has had her share of pot incidents. According to this TMZ story, Paris was held by law officials for possession of marijuana on two separate occasions in 2009.

5) Snoop Dogg
Rapper Snoop often talks about marijuana in the lyrics of his songs. Actress Cameron Diaz, who went to school with Snoop, even admitted she bought pot from Snoop Dogg back in the day. Snoop even stood up for Willie Nelson after the country music singer was arrested for pot possession several years ago in a profanity laced interview on TMZ.

That's a short list of celebrities who smoke pot, have admitted to use or have been caught with marijuana. It's apparent that four of the five, all men, on this list would be quick to push for legalizing marijuana. Does this mean that pot enhances creativity to a point where these people have enjoyed successful careers? Or do they just have enough money now to purchase the drugs?
